Sunsets are not on island time - a family session in St John USVI

This was an amazing opportunity for my first travel session and I could not have asked for a better family to travel with while working.  

These little lovelies were so sweet and adored being in front of the camera.  

Their parents are so upbeat and pumped to capture these moments. 

Individually they all showed their personalities and as a family they all meld together perfectly.

The energy was high, the sun was low, the love was real, and the moments are unbelievably perfect.

But these photos are a good reminder that we aren't only here for the big, exciting moments.  Beauty is found in the quiet, the still, and the details as well.  The in between blinks.  I strive to capture them more than anything else.  These are the real, the raw, the unshakeable, the tiny fractions of seconds that really make life what it is.  

If you've ever been still for a moment and in complete bliss, harmony, quiet, and contentment - and find yourself thinking "I wish I could capture this feeling right here," THATS IT, those are moments I can't wait to find when I interact and work with your family.  

Just look at that love.

This is a pause in between breaths that we cannot unfeel.

But of course, as humans, we never stay still for too long.  And we are always right back at it.  

This was an amazing opportunity.  I'm so grateful I was able to make these images happen for this lovely family.
